Dusty Rags Esq. is the proud number of a few pets, all moths, of which he has a random number. Unlike most people, he likes allergy pills. He also has an appreciation for people who sew. In his book, curses are always helpful! He does not like dogs or mice, never has, never will! He hates graverobbers and untidy crypts, I mean really folks, that's just not nice! Dusty is a very limited plush from series 3, there are only 250 available.

Squidley

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Squidley Johnson loves his bed bugs, and dust mites! He is also quite the practical joker, so watch out! His favorite snack is salt water taffy, and he will eat as much of it as possible!
On the other hand, he hates being ignored on a blind date. If that ever happens, the Jokester in him just may come out, and that can make things quite interesting! He also hates Rocky Road ice cream, I mean why mess with chocolate ice cream, its just perfect!
Squidley is available in 3 versions, the regular version, and if you are a crypt club member there is a silver exclusive, and a black exclusive , each one limited to only 250.

Toon week 7

New Year's is not far off, so I thought this toon was very fitting. Everyone has their new years resolutions, just not everyone's is as interesting as the characters in Rebecca's Realm

Grimm

Picture Property of Bleeding Edge Goths Inc. All Rights Reserved (c)
Grimm Jimm rather likes his job. When asked if he has any pets, his only response is "In time you all bacome my pets". When not working, he does enjoy Hawaiian get-aways. He greatly dislikes whiners (and unfortunatley in his job, he runs into ALOT of those), dont ever expect him to tell you something twice, that makes him mad! He also hates having a dull sickle.

Accessories part 2

Image hosted by Photobucket.com There are many accessories available, and previously I've shown you the very cool buttons. Well, there are also shirts available. What better way to show you are a bleeding edge goth then with one of these clothing items available. Go on, let your inner goth out!

Fester

Picture Property of Bleeding Edge Goths Inc. All Rights Reserved
Fester Jester III is quite a talented young lad. He thoroughly enjoys juggling knives, a job most of the rest of us would be quite concerned about! If he's not juggling, he is doing one of 2 other things, eating bugs, or reading (or writing) morbid poetry. He also has a pet ferret names Folly, and these two get along great.
Fester greatly dislikes being quite, he's rather boisterous himself. He does not enjoy being bored, and HATES small confined spaces.

Another puzzle

This is the second box puzzle I've made. I know they are not easy, but they are so much fun!

Kindergoths Series 3

Animation Produced by Sterling
Grimm, Fester, Squidly, and Dusty (the exclusive kindergoth) make up the kindergoths series 3. Series 3 comes in a display box and are slightly smaller than the previous Kindergoths. Don't judge these kindergoths by their size! Just because they are smaller does not mean they have any less spunk to them! This week, I will post information on all 3 of these cuddly fiends.

Starlet of the week:Veronika

Picture Property of Sterling's Stars Blogspot
Veronika Despair is in so may ways, your typical goth girl. With her Mortisha Adams look to her, there is just no getting more goth than that! It does not help that her favorite color is black! She hates Anxiety, trauma, misfortune, and headaches, all things that she has to deal with on a daily basis! On the other hand, she loves poetry, and also boat rides on lakes after dark, she's a true romantic. She also like smelling salts, as they have saved her regularly! Veronika does have one pet, a green parakeet names Sampson. The theme song I picked for Veronika is "Undenied" by Portishead.

Zero's Sister

This little girl has always been referred to as Zero’s Sister , so no one really remembers her name. She shares her brothers pet,Bonez the dog. She enjoys hanging out with Zero, especially going through the car wash, thats fun! She also likes tattoos, sour candy, and the penguin pond and the alligator pit at the aquarium.
On the other hand, she HATES being called Zero’s sister- she would really like someone to tell her what her damn name is. She hates scrambled eggs and hot dogs and the smell of Bonez after a bath- wet dog makes her sick.

A game!

So, I FINALLY have the code finished for this puzzle game. There will be more to come! For now, just the one will have to do. Enjoy!

First, click on the picture of Morbida to start the puzzle. Then simply use your arrow keys to move the pieces to make the full picture. This one is kind of tricky, so good luck!

NOTE: I've just found out this does not work on Mozilla Firefox, but does work on Internet explorer. I am currently re-writing the code to fix this issue.

Shock

Shock the Monkey loves his owner Sid. Shock also cant get enough of electricity (thus the name). Peanut butter and banana milkshakes are his favorite treat, but unfortunately he does not get them very often. Shock also likes swings, throwing rocks at ducks and getting out of "bath" day, he HATES baths! He loves bannas, but if they are bruised, they just wont do (they must be slightly green). He also hates being told not to throw rocks at ducks, stupid pet tricks, and drinking without a straw. Shock has a few pets, he has 2,328 fleas and ticks (which all reside on Shock)

Varities of Serpentina

Serpentina is available in 2 varities, the regular version in the black dress, and the "chase" version with reversed colors on her dress. The chase version is very rare, and Bleeding Edge always has a few chase dolls in every series. Keep your eyes open for a chase doll, they are the hardest to find of them all!

Toon week 6

Picture Property of Bleeding Edge Goths Inc. All Rights Reserved
Christmas is this week, so Happy Holidays To All! Rebecca's Realm was quite festive this week, so this is the actual (official) toon of the week. I just could not resist! We all know how easily those lights can get tangled, especially when you have a younger sibling!

Frown

Frown the Clown prefers his bottle in a paper bag, He loves The Twisted Balloon, Naps in the park, and mime bashing. Other than that most of his waking moments are filled with fear, anxiety, and misery.
He does not like most everything, but especially the fact that he is a clown. Frown also dislikes Volkswagon bugs, circus tents, circus people, and all children. He has no pets, he dislikes most animals.

Serpentina the Starlet

Serpentina can sure Vamp it up in her pictures. With her timless beauty, how can she not look great!

GarthGoyle

GarthGoyle III is a funny little creature. He likes sitting still and staring, maybe its a hereditary thing. He just loves the dark, and its even better if its raining. He is a fan of industrial music, line dancing and compulsive lying (that makes me wonder about the line dancing part). Chocolate Chip Cookies (soft baked) are his FAVORITE snack.

He greatly dislikes liars (except himself of course!). Don't ever offer him honey and nut cereal or cold toaster strudel, or you might see a side of him you would prefer not to! He also hates Earthquakes, being a gargoyle and all, those can be quite treacherous!
Garth currently has no pets at the moment, but he wants a Llama named Thelma.

Sid

Sidney X. Malicious , better known as Sid, likes lime Jelly, gummy fruit snacks, head cheese (ICK!) and peanut butter. He also realy likes Doctors. He's quite fond of his pet monkey, "Shock".
On the other hand, he dislikes seat belts, and tries to recuse to wear them! He also does not like pliers, "ouch"! He talks very little, and realy does not like to talk at all. I think the thing he hates the most in the world is the little yellow School bus, its just "creapy".
Sid is a special kindergoth, and is available in 2 versions, the regualr version, and the Silver Crypt Club exclusive version.

Scary Tales Part 2

Pictures Property of VampyreLily
A week ago, I posted about the Mezco-Varner studios collaboration known as the Scary Tales. Well, I have some new pictures, thanks to my friend VampyreLily. She has several of the figures out of the box, and took these pictures. You can see the amazing detail not only in the figures, but also in the "sets" that come with the figures. I was blown away when I saw them out of the box.

Kindergoths Series 2

Pictures Property of Bleeding Edge Goths Inc. All Rights Reserved
Series 2 Kindergoths are the 14 inch plush figures like series one. In this series, we have Sid, with is unusual pet, Shock the Monkey. There is also Frown the Clown, Garth the Gargoyle, and we cant forget Zero's Sister, even though everyone has forgotten her name, and she is known simply as Zero's sister. This week, I will tell more about each Kindergoth from this series.

Starlet of the week: Serpentina

Picture Property of AllHallowsGhost
Serpentina Maria Sangria is this weeks starlet of the week. She has 2 pet cobras, Ted and John Wayne. Serpentina's favorite color is super extra dark black. She, unlike most people, really likes her dentist Dr. Locke, probably because Serpentina's teeth are perfect. She also likes video games, skydiving (although she does not get to do it much), and fat opera singers (they just look so cool!). On the other hand, this Vixen HATES anything involving velcro. She is also not a fan of black and white movies, she enjoys the visual stimulation of LOTS of color, I mean, they don't make video games in black and white, so why watch movies like that!
Serpentina is from series 3 of the 12 inch fashion dolls. Come back later in the week for more images of her, and more information!

The newest of Technology

Animation Produced By SterlingVarner Studios, always at the cutting edge of technology, has impressive3 D Scaning technologies. Their niche is to combine both this technology with their impressive professional hand sculpting skills.
They are equipped with the Minolta Vivid 900 Laser Scanner which will enable them to scan small items from 5mm to Lifesize scans, including people, there are endless possibilities. Once they make the scan, they wil use powerful 3-D sculpting programs such as Freeform and Maya to manipulate the original scans to achieve the desired look. They have a 3D Systems Thermo Jet Printer that allows them to output the computer generated figure into real form to be touched up and finished by their professional sculptors. Everything, even when using the latest technology still has a the finishing touches by hand, never loosing the quality of the artwork.

Doom And Gloom

Doom and Gloom
The Doom and Gloom section of the BeGoths web site always has items of interest. There is the Art section, which always helps to celebrate the art that is slightly more on the dark side. The Decor section, sharing gothic and macabre decorating ideas. There is also a Fashion section, a place you can always find what's the new styles in the gothic world. The gothtoon, also known as Rebecca's Realm, which by this time, I'm sure you are somewhat familiar with. The Music Morgue, a section that showcases many artists in the darker realm of music. And last, but not least in the Doom and Gloom section is the Newsletter . The newsletter is a most informative and helpful thing. Frequently there are offers for coupons in the newsletter, and its also the place where contests are announced. I think my favorite part of the newsletter is seeing the new toon from Rebecca's Realm!

Valentino

Valentino was a very special Kindergoth produced by Bleeding Edge. He was exclusive to Spencers gifts in 2004, and was quite limited. He is definitely the hardest kindergoths to track down. Don't let this cuddly looking Cupid fool you, this little guy is not for the faint of heart!

Toon Week 5

So, our little excerpt from Rebecca's Realm this week hits on a subject many people are into. Tim Burton movies definitely have a certain feeling to them, and many people feel they are a bit gothic. You don't have to be gothic to like Tim Burton though! He's done some relay great movies. Edward Sissorhands, Nightmare before Christmas, Ed Wood, The Corpse Bride, Big Fish, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. There are many to mention. He has an artistic style I find quite impressive. Most of his movies, you can pick any moment to make a still of the screen, and it looks like artwork! Everything is composed with such beauty. So, weather you are goth or not, I recommend checking out some Tim Burton films!

Army Of Gothness

A new product has just come out! Its the Army Of Gothness poster. You might remember me mentioning that when I visited the studio, they were putting the finishing touches on a poster soon to be for sale, well here it is! I can't wait to get one for myself!

Lara Croft Evening Dress Statue

Animation Produced By Sterling
In 2002, before Bleeding Edge Goths were available to all of us, Varner studios was already making drop- dead gorgeous Statues. This Evening Dress Lara Croft Tomb Raider resin statue was a limited edition of only 3500. These amazing statues stand nearly 14 inches tall with the base, and has a certificate of authenticity which is permanently silkscreened on the bottom of the base. She is completely sold out almost everywhere, and very difficult to find. After this figure, how could anyone doubt the voluptuous vixens Varner would have in store for us in the future!

Tomb Raider Statue

Animation Produced By Sterling
Before Steve Varner started the Bleeding Edge Goth company, Varner Studios was quite well known for their Tomb Raider, and Buffy Statues. This beautiful Tomb Raider Statue is a product of Varner Studios from 2001. She is made from cold-cast porcelain, and stands approximately 10 inches tall and just over 12 inches tall when placed on her base. She is captured in a dramatic action pose, atop incredibaly detailed ancient Aztec ruins. She is the first tomb raider statue produced by Varner Studios, and is limited to just 4500 pieces worldwide!

Starlet of the week: Back to School Storm

Back to School Storm will be our Starlet of the week this week. She is the storm doll from series 3. Storms full name is Storm O. Misery. Storm has a couple pets, Mr. Tabmow the wombat (she's had him a little while now), and a newt named Amphibian (a very new pet to her). She's not had a lot of luck with pets, so we will have to see how this goes! For Storm, simple black won't do, her favorite color is black black. Storm relay enjoys sleeping all day, but when she is not sleeping, she enjoys eating popcorn with Junior Mints mixed together while watching movies. If she's not watching a movie, she's probably watching Sumo wrestling. I'm still not quite sure why this little gal is so into that sport, but she loves it! On the other hand, she does not like crowds, which can make going to amusement parks difficult, and if its hot, forget it, she won't go!
My theme song for Back To School Storm woud be Apoptgyma Berzerk "Coma White".
This Storm doll is very limited, so get yours while she is still available!

Divinity The Starlet

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Divinity has made a lovely Starlet of the week. Some of the pictures closing this week show her with some "friends", of whom you will see more of very soon!

Psycho Clown Bobbelhead

The Psycho Clown or P.C. as he is known for short,He has become the "face" of the Bleeding Edge Co. and he is now part of the Bleeding Edge family. The story, as we hear it from those at Begoths is that P.C. was born to a rodeo clown father and an albino, animal balloon artist mother. P.C. traveled the world and his first job was in a razor blade manufacturing plant,
where he sorted the defective blades from the good ones. He was accident prone, but his boss felt he had talent and promoted him to the lumberyard; where he inspected huge, sharp saw blades. One day he was found decapitated, yet concious, near one of the giant spinning blades. His body and head were packed on ice and he's now a miracle of modern surgery.

P.C. met the Begoths crew recently at a screening of “Carnival Of Souls”. There were some tender moments sharing popcorn & P.C. was adopted by the Bleeding Edge family. His job is to protect the Bleeding Edge warehouse during the graveyard shift. His parents have retired from clownin around and live in Florida. They're very proud
of their son.

Princess Ai 7 inch figures

Animation Produced By Sterling
These figures show the growth of the character Princess Ai in the first Manga. In Fell to Earth Ai, we see her as she "Fell to Earth", and she roams the streets of modern day Tokyo, not remembering who she is, or where she comes from. In Rock'N' Roll Ai, we see her beginning to discover her talent as she performs in clubs in Tokyo. At this point, she is starting to realize just who she may be. The Angelic Princess Ai embodies the character as she begins to learn more of herself, and her home-land.

All three of these figures are beautifully sculpted, and amazing detail is captures in each one. There are also exclusive versions of a couple, but only if you are a Crypt Club Member.

About the Maker: Steve Varner

Animation Produced by Sterling
Who is the wizard behind Begoths? The maker of gothic dolls on the bleeding edge? Steve Varner, the doll maker, turned into the Goth wizzard when his son's obsession became his own. Steve seems to have given the breath of life to these beautiful and strange creations known as Bleeding Edge Goth dolls. These fashionably macabre figures have become gothic icons of awe inspired beauty! Be sure read the Wizards Own words about the mystical process of creating these dolls from the dark side.

Princess Ai 12 Inch fashion dolls

Princess Ai sure does know her fashion. Taken from the Popular Tokyopop Manga, this gal can make everything look great! In the borrowed threads Ai, she must borrow some clothes, but a little snip here, a few adjustments there, and wow! She looks great. Evening Princess Ai is all dressed up for an evening out. Club Cupid Princess Ai aldo looks quite stunning in her long jacket. There are also some exclusive versions of these dolls available, and personally, they are my favorites!

Varities of Divinity

Both versions of this doll are just amazing. The red dress version was quite limited, and is sold out in most places. The regular Divinity is still available, but get yours soon, before she is gone!

Sculpting

At Varner Studios, Sculpting is a serious business that they have been doing for years. Steve Varner finds that traditional sculpting and mold-making skills are of the utmost importance in their Company. They do utilize top of the like computer sculpting tools, and 3D scanning technologies, but they truly love the art! When I was visiting the studio I was lucky enough to try out one of the computer sculpting programs. It was amazing. It felt like you were actually working on something dimensional. As you pushed in with a pen-like tool, you could feel the shapes and the curves of what was being worked on. You could also change the shape, actually sculpt it!
Even with the high tech sculpting tools they have, in the studio they do feel that nothing quite gets the detail like a skillful human eye. Much of what they do is hand sculpted, or the finishing touches are done by hand, to achieve the most eye appealing product.

Beauty Vs the Beast

Animation Produced By Sterling This Beauty has been held against her will by a terrible Beast. She appears to be out to settle the score. Unfortunately the Beast underestimated this rare beauty. Don't you be next!
